Canadians in Panama have a reputation for arriving on time, or even early, which sometimes confuses local businesses.

A good example was of the CanadaPLUS club over two years ago. The event was due to start at 7 pm. The owner of the restaurant told his staff to be there at 6.30. The line up started at 6.15.

But this year, with the feasting taking place at the Miramar Intercontinental,  one of the 10 Bern hotels under the direction of Canadian Glen Champion, timing will not be a problem.

Panama’s exports to Canada expected to double

Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs John Baird was in Panama Tuesday, February 19 as part of a quick fire tour of Latin American countries which have become a focus of Canadian foreign policy.

At a meeting Baird with his Panamanian counterpart Rómulo Roux Baird said the interests of his country are the diversification of the presence of Canadian companies in Panama.
